Mining Learnerships & General Mining Jobs
Entry-level mining roles and learnerships including general workers, machine operators and artisan assistants.
About the role
Mining houses advertise general mining assistants, dump truck and LHD operators, plant assistants and artisan learnerships. Successful applicants complete induction, medical fitness testing and site-specific safety training before being placed underground or on surface operations. Learnerships lead to a recognised trade test in fitting, electrical, boilermaking or diesel mechanics.
Requirements
Grade 12 (Mathematics and Science for artisan learnerships). Medically fit with a valid red ticket or willingness to undergo a mine medical. Relevant operator certificates are an advantage.
How to apply
Register on the mining group careers portal and apply to the specific reference. Never pay a "recruitment agent" for a mining job — legitimate mines and their contractors do not charge candidates.
